What You Will learn:

This course is the result of reading thousands of viewer comments on my YouTube channel, where students clearly outlined their dilemmas. Coupled with my experience of teaching close to 15,000 private lessons over 20 years, it became clear that a foundational course designed to supplement song tutorials on YouTube, was necessary.

This comprehensive, step-by-step course will guide you through essential concepts such as choosing the right keyboard, technique and posture, all twelve major scales, proper fingerings, major chords, minor chords, inversions, advanced chords such as 7ths and suspensions, pedaling, rhythmic technique used by the pros, reading music, and more!

Comprising over 5 hours of video spread across 16 chapters as well as dozens of PDF's with practice examples, diagrams and more, the Piano Fundamentals Course has something for everyone.

If you don't read music, not to worry! All of the material presented is demonstrated with on-screen note letter names, an overhead view of the piano, light-up keys, and verbal cues guiding you through which notes to play. However as an added bonus, this course does contain an hour-long, How To Read Music mini crash course at the very end!

PIERRE PISCITELLI is a pianist, educator, arranger, author and YouTuber from New York City. Encouraged by his parents, both classical flutists, he began classical piano studies at age four and continued through his young adult years. Over time, his musical interests expanded, leading him toward jazz, pop, and other contemporary styles.

Pierre received a B.M. from NYU in 2013. He went on to work as a session keyboardist for countless bands, as well as an arranger for various string ensembles and big bands. His re-imagining of Metallica’s ...And Justice for All album for NYC-based orchestra Little Kruta, won an Independent Music Award in 2020 for Best Tribute Album.

As a founding member of the folk band Bailen (Concord Music Group) Pierre toured the U.S., Canada, U.K., Europe and beyond for several years alongside/opening for Amos Lee, Raul Midon, Joseph, The Lone Bellow, Morgan James, and others.

In 2021, Pierre published “The Music of Lyle Mays: Compositions, Transcriptions and Musical Transformations,” with the help of the Lyle Mays estate. A comprehensive, 253-page anthology of all of Mays' music, plus some of his writings and thoughtful anecdotes.

Prior to the release of the Music book, Pierre worked with Lyle Mays to score his magnum opus, Eberhard, which went on to win a Grammy Award for best Instrument Composition the following year.

In 2023, Pierre’s passion for all things music led to the creation of a YouTube channel where he creates comprehensive piano tutorials. He has been featured on Rick Beato’s YouTube channel as a guest several times.

Through the success of his channel, Pierre has built a following of nearly 100K+ subscribers, a roster of online private studentsas well as a rapidly-growing sheet music library.
